In one
of the largest recent expeditions, the Scientific Exploration Society
accompanied by an Affno team member, embarked on a 4000 km, 3 month
long journey along the entire length of the Amazon River in reed
boats, through Bolivian and Brazilian jungles. Their requirement
was a special web solution enabling transmission of the daily progress
of the phased expedition, through real-time reports, with images
and streaming videos via satellite, uploaded directly onto the website.
Affno obliged with an ostensibly simple, attractive portal which
allowed scientists and enthusiasts around the world to track the
Kota Mama adventure as it unravelled, creating global awareness
of the exploration and the humanitarian work it did along the way.
